BBC PROMS at THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL + DINNER at OGNISKO

We are in for a real treat with the famous BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall located on the south side of Kensington Gardens.

The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Per Kristian Skalstad present two contrasting works by Mozart – the sparkling 'Haffner' Symphony & the more dramatic C minor Piano Concerto featuring the Principal Guest Director Leif Ove Andsnes at the piano & Artistic Director Isabelle van Keulen leading the orchestra plus two Scandinavian pieces new & old: Grieg's beloved string-orchestra classic Holberg Suite & Danish Bent Sørensen's new piano concerto La mattina, which the composer regards as containing both his 'darkest & most profound' music.

This musical extravaganza is followed by a delightful supper in an impressive setting at the nearby beautiful Ognisko Restaurant located in a lovely Georgian house at 55 Exhibition Road.
