The Royal Opera House, in Covent Garden is one of the world’s most surreal, stunning & sumptuous opera houses in the world.

The full company of The Royal Ballet are on stage for the drama & passion of John Cranko’s Onegin. Based on the novel by Alexander Pushkin, Onegin is a turbulent and dramatic tale of unrequited love, rejection and regret. The ballet follows the story of Tatiana, a beautiful young woman who falls madly in love with the refined Onegin. After first rejecting her advances, Onegin finally sets his heart on the now worldly-wise Tatiana. Now married, she rejects his advances despite professing her continued love for him. Having had his heart broken, the dejected Onegin is sent into a downward spiral of depression. The stage designs plus the music taken from Tchaikovsky in a specially created score, bring vividly alive the world of imperial Russia to complete a ballet of colour, drama, beauty & passion.

Following this magical feast we move to another tasty feast at the nearby impressive ‘Forge Restaurant & Bar’ where we can enjoy good food & good wine & swap notes about the performance in relaxed & convivial surroundings. A perfect night out!
