SKI HOLIDAY - ‘ON THE PISTE’ in LES DEUX ALPES with CLUB MED

This beautifully refurbished Club Med resort sits on the slopes under the sun of the Southern Alps & forms a cascade of rooftops nestling in the powdery snow. The starting point for beautiful downhill runs, Les Deux Alpes beckons winter sports fans to plunge into an exceptional ski domain overlooked by the Meije Glacier, a symbol of this part of the Alps. It is in Isère, in the Oisans massif, 80 km from Grenoble, at an altitude of 1,650 metres, in the heart of the resort, 300 metres from the ski lifts. Les 2 Alpes ski region is at an altitude of between 3,600 and 1,300 metres; there are 225 km (140 miles) of ski slopes (11 black, 11 red, 31 blue, 17 green) & a world famous snow park. There are 51 ski lifts; 208 snow cannons & 25 km of cross-country ski trails. Novices & experts can try out exciting new sports and sensations under the supervision of qualified instructors. There are group lessons of around 12 people for all levels which last the whole day, for a period of 5 days. Professional ski instructors who know the ski domain by heart will guide you down the slopes best suited to your skills, to ensure you progress safely & surely in the best possible conditions. A test on the first morning's skiing will establish each skier's level & ensure he or she is put in the right class: The ski lifts are 350 yards from the resort & the ski lift pass is included.

The resort has 257 rooms in an 8-storey hotel that follows the contours of the mountains & the bars & restaurants cater for every palate. The general buffet restaurant has been renovated & redesigned from top to toe serving a great variety of delicious, creative cuisine, impeccable table art & wonderful views of the valley. There’s a great open-bar during the day & evening, where you can enjoy a complete range of popular branded drinks & sweet & savoury snacks. The terrace is the perfect place to relax & enjoy the magnificent views. Drinks are also available during meal times, so you don’t have to worry about the bill at the end of your stay! Club Med entertainment is provided in the evening plus a dance floor. Activities available outside Club Med at extra cost include: Guided walk in snow shoes, Ice-rink, Snowmobile, Bowling, Squash, Swimming pool, Sauna, Cinemas & Nightclub.
